Bush Ross, P.A. Supports Children's Cancer Center's Holiday Adopt-A-Family Program

December 8, 2016

Bush Ross attorneys and staff have been hard at work this holiday season gathering "wish list" items for the Children's Cancer Center's Holiday Adopt-A-Family program.  Clothing and household items were collected as well as donations in the form of gift cards to help meet a 6-child family's needs.

The Children's Cancer Center is a non-profit organization with a mission "to help children and their families by providing the educational, financial, and emotional relief necessary to cope with the illnesses which threaten to tear their lives apart."  The holidays are a particularly difficult time for participating families who are faced with large medical bills.  The Adopt-A-Family program helps to relive some of the stress and anxiety associated with the holiday season and provides the children with the kind of holiday every child deserves to have.

Families struggling with the trauma of having a child with cancer are referred to the Children's Cancer Center's Adopt-A-Family program by hospital and clinic social workers.
