Travis J. Coy
Travis Coy concentrates his practice in civil litigation, with a primary focus on first-party property insurance defense in state court.
Before joining Bush Ross, Travis served as Juvenile Division Chief at the Office of the State Attorney for Florida’s Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. In that role, he supervised, mentored, and trained assistant prosecutors in legal strategy, courtroom advocacy, and professional ethics. He also collaborated with community stakeholders to address service gaps, develop programs for justice-involved youth, and represented the office in public forums and interagency initiatives focused on juvenile justice reform.
Over the course of his distinguished eighteen-year career with the State Attorney’s Office, Travis prosecuted a broad spectrum of cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious violent felonies, including first-degree murder, armed carjacking, and home invasion robbery. He has led or co-chaired more than one hundred jury and non-jury trials, consistently achieving successful outcomes through meticulous preparation and persuasive courtroom advocacy.
